Inspired by the beautiful countryside of Wales. With it’s rolling hills and valleys.
It can be a harsh and barren landscape too. Much of which would have been under
a canopy of trees just a few thousand years ago. Then people began to farm and
the land was cleared. But nature still holds on, with tiny jewels of plants holding
the landscape together. And there are always pathways to new beginnings.
The grasses seemed to dominate this landscape, so I let them do just that.
Each image is painted onto the screen by hand
from my original drawings
and printed one colour layer one at a time
in my studio.
