Passionate about
Wildflowers
I’m always on the look out for wildflowers. Often the best places to find them are the side of the road, edges of pathways, lanes and clifftops.
Places where they are forgotten and can grow happily without anyone realising they are there.
The downside is that once in a while someone does notice them and decides to tidy up.
I’ve also started growing them in my garden. Sometimes I will find them in a garden centre, sometimes they seed themselves. If I recognise them, I will leave them.
It’s a good thing to be observant of plants in the wild as it can help to discover how vigorously a plant will grow. A plant that is spreading rapidly will likely grow rapidly in the garden too!
But there are many friendly wildflowers who are well behaved and will enjoy living in the garden.
