Hidden Gallery Reopens in the
Natural History Museum
For my first post, I’m featuring a link.
As well as studying art, my love of plants led me to a degree in Botany and
I love to keep up to date with science and natural history.
This beautiful gallery was used to house the botanical collections after the museum’s original herbarium was damaged during the Second World War.
The gallery was closed to the public for over 80 years, but is now reopening, initially for 18 months, on the 16th September 2026 for the new
‘Nature and Us’ exhibition, “where visitors can explore our evolving relationship with the natural world through 50 remarkable objects”.
